Mental Fitness ~ Mindfulness ~ Post Traumatic Growth

We can't stop the waves, but we can learn to surf them.

Welcome to my website. My name is Robert Gebka and I am an accredited Psychological Therapist and Mindfulness Trainer.
It is true that we can't stop the waves of life and it's often turbulent situations, but it's also true that we can learn to surf these waves. I know that it takes courage to reach out for support but I believe that you have within you the resourcefulness you need in order to transform your life into a life of ease, depth, meaning and self-compassion.
MENTAL FITNESS & RESILIENCE
Being positively resourced to deal with life's challenges leads to a life of wellbeing and fulfillment. I provide emotional resilience coaching offering practical emotional regulation tools that will enable you to be more grounded and centered. My therapeutic and coaching work draws on practical Polyvagal Theory, IFS (Internal Family Systems) and EMDR based approaches.
MINDFULNESS TRAINING
Mindfulness is a state of being which is rooted in present-centered awareness and can be defined as intentionally paying attention, in the present moment and with kindness. We often get lost in past regrets or future anxious plans, leading to worry and negative rumination. Mindfulness practice helps us to live in the present moment, away from negative mental conditioning. I offer both the MBSR (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction) as well as MBCT (Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy) programmes.
POST TRAUMATIC GROWTH
Experiencing trauma such as PTSD and or Complex PTSD is deeply destabilizing. However if wisely approached it can also be a catalyst for positive change and growth, leading to what is known as Post-Traumatic Growth. I offer trauma processing treatment using FLASH (based on EMDR prinicples) as well as coaching enabling you to release the trauma and integrate the experience leading to increased resilience, self-compassion, and a deeper appreciation for life.
